Driving Directions

Rice University is located at 6100 Main Street, Houston, TX 77005. The campus is surrounded by Main Street, Greenbriar Street, Rice, Sunset and University Boulevards.

From the Galleria/Uptown area

1. Take West Loop 610 South and exit to US 59 North/Downtown.
2. Exit US 59 at Greenbriar; stay on the frontage road.
3. Turn right at the Greenbriar light and follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard.
4. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard. Rice campus entry gates will be on your right.
5. Turn right into Gate #20. The field will be on your right.
Rice Stadium parking is available at gate #18.

From downtown Houston

1. Take Smith Street (a one-way street) until it becomes US 59 South.
2. Exit US 59 at Greenbriar.
3. Turn left under US 59 and follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard.
4. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard. Rice campus entry gates will be on your right.
5. Turn right into Gate #20. The field will be on your right.
Rice Stadium parking is available at gate #18.

From north, east, south, or west

1. Those approaching Houston on I-45 north or I-45 south should take US 59 south exit. From US 59 south take the Fannin Street exit and travel south on Fannin until reach Sunset Boulevard. Take right on Sunset and continue left on Rice Boulevard when Sunset splits. Rice campus entry gates will be on your left. Turn left into gate #20. O’Connor Field will be on your right. Rice Stadium parking is available at gate #18.

2. Those approaching Houston from the north on US 59 (heading south) should take the Fannin Street exit and travel south on Fannin until reach Sunset Boulevard. Take right on Sunset and continue left on Rice Boulevard when Sunset splits. Rice campus entry gates will be on your left. Turn left into gate #20. O’Connor Field will be on your right. Rice Stadium parking is available at gate #18.

3. Those approaching Houston from the south on US 59 (heading north) should exit at Greenbriar, stay on the frontage road, and turn right (south) on Greenbriar. Follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard, Rice campus entry gates will be on your right. Turn right into gate #20. O’Connor Field will be on your right. Rice Stadium parking is available at gate #18.

4. Those approaching Houston on I-10 should take the Shepherd exit off of I-10 and travel south until Shepherd becomes Greenbriar. Follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard, Rice campus entry gates will be on your right. Turn right into gate #20. O’Connor Field will be on your right. Rice Stadium parking is available at gate #18.

5. Those approaching Houston on 290 should take 610 South to 59 North and exit at Greenbriar. Stay on the frontage road, turn right (south) on Greenbriar. Follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard, Rice campus entry gates will be on your right. Turn right into gate #20. O’Connor Field will be on your right. Rice Stadium parking is available at gate #18.
